Avatar The Last Airbender Season 2 & 3 Gets a Shocking Update!

Netflix fans, I’ve got some shocking updates for Avatar The Last Airbender Season 2. Now if you are one of those who is wondering about the next adventure of our Aang then you are at the right place. Premiered exclusively on Netflix back in February 2024, Avatar: The Last Airbender is still hitting the trending bars and no wonder why it is getting a multi-season plan. The show has garnered a lot of traction on streaming platform and it is one of those giants which has collected a giant total of 40 million+ views in it’s first two weeks.

Now that it has been renewed for two more seasons, it is important to talk about the future stories and adventures. While by the end it was clear that more cliffhangers and twists are already down the line – this renewation also marks the confirmation of the debut of Toph, the blind Earthbender. What and how Netflix will deal with this epic protagonist is still a mystery, but I’ve got an official update regarding it’s directorial duties.

If you’ve watched the first season of this live-action adaptation, then I am pretty sure that you might have heard about their directors, producers and what not. I mean of course we do a plenty of research before watching our favorite TV Shows right? Albert Kim was the showrunner of first season and his job was pretty impressive. The casting, storyline and experience – everything was on-point and engaging.

Despite getting a lot of positive reactions and praise, now it has been reported that Albert is no longer playing his part for Avatar The Last Airbender Season 2 and 3. As per What’s On Netflix (who is also known for their high authenticity and precision), showrunner Kim has officially left this saga – however, he will be attached to this franchise as an Executive Producer.

To be honest, it would be no surprise if he decides to permanently take all his duties off. The exact reason is still unknown but I am keeping my eagle eyes on this particular issue – however, he is also engaged in many other streaming giants to produce major projects such as Percy Jackson season 2 and The Last Frontiers.

Meanwhile, the Netflix company has already moved forward in the development of Avatar The Last Airbender Season 2. In fact, it has been rumored that both second and third seasons will be developed all together – hence, preventing us from unexpected delays or uncertainties.

Who is Replacing Albert in Avatar The Last Airbender Season 2 & 3?

Next big question that should arise in your curious mind is: “Who will be replacing him?” Well, I’ve an official update for you!

Just in case if you don’t know then Boylan was the part of first season itself. She served as co-executive producer in season 1 and in fact, episode 3 was written by her. Boylan’s popular works involves the hit Peacock series Poker Face, Shadow and Bone, The Punisher and many more. Apart from her, Raisani was also the part of first season and he in fact has directed the two episodes (Omashu & Into the Dark). His popular work involves Stranger Things, The Flash and many more.
