Who else want to revisit magic with ‘Hocus Pocus 3?’ I am pretty sure that most of you are going to say Yes! Now what if I say that a third installment should be just around the corner?
Well, the series star Bette Midler has officially asked Disney to speed up the process for a third ‘Hocus Pocus‘ TV series. While talking to QVC+ talk show “Busy This Week,” Midler has revealed that she has yet to see a script. She even mentioned the age-factor that might cause some serious trouble, and that’s why she wants to finish a third part as soon as possible.
Bette mentioned, “I haven’t seen the script, but I’ve heard rumblings. I think if they’re gonna, they oughta, because time is not just marching, time is barrel-assing to the finish line. Get us while we’re still breathing, I mean, God!”
What Else To Know About ‘Hocus Pocus 3?’
Before Bette Midler, screenwriter Jen D’Angelo has revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the third part is still under development. Although he was trying to hide as much as he can, Jen still mentioned that they are in their script writing phase which is expected to finish very soon.
The comment reads, “We’re still in the story phase, we’re still working on it. We’ve been working on some ideas. It’s been fun to dive back into that world and we have so many directions in which to go and so many new characters to explore. We’ve only scratched the surface of Hannah Waddingham’s mother witch.”
D’Angelo also mentioned that they are open for any number of ideas. It’s just the story should look good and engaging to hook their audience while dropping some pretty big surprises. The company is also trying to explore some new aspects with these highly beloved character, and that’s what the screenwriter himself is revealing.
“I’m hoping that we are able to explore every aspect of these stories and take these characters on a bunch of fun adventures,” D’Angelo continued. “We don’t really know what it is, but we’re exploring all options and I think everybody is so delighted by the reaction that ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ got, and we’re excited to continue those stories.”
Well, finally it seems like Hocus Pocus 3 will be speeding up it’s process, especially after this special call from none other then star Bette Midler herself. I’d also love to mention that the second part was breaking almost every single record on Nielson TOP 10 charts, earning an opening of 2.7 billion minutes of watching.
