A ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ TV series is currently at works, and fans like you and I just can’t wait to watch it. This highly popular show is not only known for it’s highly effective and engaging plot themes or cliffhangers, but is also famous for the castings and character developments.
Now a prequel series, which is expected to premiere by fall of 2025, is getting developed with a very similar theme and emotions. No doubt, it will be a straight hit. But now it is getting a great addition in it’s cast in the form of a very beloved actor.
Another ‘Patrick’ Is Joining ‘Dexter: Original Sin’
We already knows that Patrick Gibson was in the cast of this prequel series. He is going to fill up the shoes of our main protagonist ‘Dexter Morgan.’ Joining him is Molly Brown as Debra Morgan, Christina Milian as Maria LaGuerta, James Martinez as Angel Batista, Alex Shimizu as Vince Masuka and Reno Wilson as Bobby Watt.
Now Patrick Dempsey is officially joining the cast of ‘Dexter: Original Sin,’ a Dexter prequel series as a great addition to bring his talent on our small screens. The actor, who is very well known for his role in “Grey’s Anatomy,” is set to portray Aaron Spencer.
Wondering about this character? Well, Aaron is the Captain of the Miami Metro Homicide who has a decades-long relationship with Christian Slater’s Harry Morgan. Both of these characters are going to play a very vital role in setting up the overall plot of this Dexter based prequel series.
What Is ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ About?
Set 15 years before the events of the original series of “Dexter,” this show will feature the overall transition of Dexter from how a student transformed himself into an avenging serial killer. The official synopsis reads as:
“When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Slater), he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcements’ radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.”
‘Dexter: Original Sin’ is being produced by Showtime Studios and Counterpart studios. Talking about Petrick Dempsey then I just loves him. “Patrick Dempsey is a beloved actor who is internationally known for the iconic characters he has played and his performances,” says Paramount Global co-CEO Chris McCarthy.
Clyde Phillips is going to serve his duties as showrunner and executive producer once again. Meanwhile, additional executive producers includes the talented Scott Reynolds, Michael C. Hall (who portrayed “Dexter” in the original), Mary Leah Sutton, Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns.
