Descendants: The Rise of Red is an upcoming and highly anticipated project of Disney which will mark the continuation of the epic and magical Descendants saga. This show is known for garnering millions of views throughout it’s wild run on streaming platforms and no wonder why we are getting another drop.
While we were all trying to gather some hints or updates related to the fourth installment, Disney has officially revealed the whole teaser- and now, it’s getting circulated very rapidly. Well, I am a huge fangirl of this saga and I just can’t wait to talk about it. If you are someone like me then you are at the right place. Descendants: The Rise of Red – Trailer & First Look At Mel!
I will not waste much time (because we’ve already waited for years right?). The first teaser is of course way too short- however, I would say that something is always better then nothing. The teaser starts with one of our main protagonists (Mel) who can be seen walking around a dark place. Later it is revealed that she was actually going at the Office of Principal Uma.
The narration is in the voice of our Principal herself as she can be heard saying, “I’m finally opening Oradon prep to all the kingdoms, including Wonderland.” The camera rolls on her table where we can spot many magical and unidentified stuffs. She later reveals that she is inviting someone who can help her while receiving the opportunity which she herself never got.
Well, maybe we do knows whom she is talking about- our Princess Red! The teaser then ends while showing us a very small glimpse of Red. Let me very honest with you, this teaser was a perfect treat for all those fans who wants to take an idea about Descendants: The Rise of Red while avoiding any kind of major revelation.
We got three of our main protagonists in this short yet an engaging and informative teaser which is enough to confirm that magic is just around the corner. But what exactly is the plotline? Don’t worry, I got you!
If you’ll go through the description of Descendants: The Rise of Red teaser trailer then you’ll notice a very short synopsis which is revealing plenty of solid updates. The synopsis reads:
“Former Villain Kid Uma, now headmaster of Auradon Prep, extends an invite to the school to another VK – Red, the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts from Wonderland. After the Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, Red must team up with Cinderella’s perfectionist daughter Chloe and travel back in time to try to undo the traumatic event that set Red’s mother down her villainous path.“
The image which I’ve attached above is showcasing the first exclusive look at China McClain who is looking just too pretty. Long colored hairs, glittery dress, coupled up with a pirate hat- YES! That’s what we want to see in Descendants 4.
Descendants: The Rise of Red – Official Cast & Release Schedule!
Talking about the official cast then we are getting Kylie Cantrall in the shoes of Princess Red, who is the daughter of Queen of Hearts. China Anne McClain is reprising her role as Uma once again. Joining her is Ruby Rose Turner and Brandy in the hats of Bridget and Cindrella respectively.
We are also getting Joshua Colley who will be playing the role of Hook (I mean, teen Hook). Malia Baker can be seen as Chloe while Dara Renee is joining this cast as Ulyana. Rita Ora is also present as Queen of Hearts (which she really is). You can also expect some new faces because the plot is going to take a new turn.
Now if you’ll ask me about their release schedule then I just don’t want to give you false hopes. Disney+ has not announced any schedule for Descendants 4- however, let me tell you that the company has officially confirmed that Descendants: The Rise of Red will release by late 2024. I feels like it is just a matter of time before we gets a huge update in the form of release schedule.
