Yeah it’s true! X-Men 97 season 2 and 3 are already down the line. While the first season is dominating over the streaming platform, Marvel company is now heavily engaged in producing not one, but two consecutive seasons. The show has already garnered a very decent and definitive ratings on various critic platforms such as Rotten Tomatoes, and no wonder why they are now spending their money and efforts in future seasons.
According to series co-composer Taylor Newton Stewart, X-Men 97 season 2 will be “up the ante.” While talking to The Direct, Taylor said, “It’s always upping the ante. I mean, it’s pretty intense what happens. Yeah, immediately when I was told, I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, what’s happening? This is incredible.’ So, just as a fan alone, I am very excited.”
While the first season was following a detailed story arc to develop the characters by dropping some of the most unexpected deaths and twists, it has been said that Marvel is looking forward to introduce some classic concepts in future episodes. Additionally, some new and exclusive updates are also hinting at the potential plot theme – which according to me, are already looking perfect.
Marvel Is “Satisfied,” And Wants More After X-Men 97 Season 2!
Long story short, Marvel studios is looking “very satisfied” with the current status of X-Men 97. According to a very popular and industry level insider ‘DanielRPK,’ Marvel is all set to bring us more adventures through multiple seasons and not only this – the source has confirmed that the future seasons are going to be produced in a very “consecutive manner!“
According to Daniel, “Marvel is reportedly very satisfied with X-Men 97 and would like to do more seasons, preferably consecutive as they did in Season 1 & 2 – so that fans don’t wait too long.” Additionally, I am also getting a very exciting update regarding the development team as well. Beau DeMayo, the original writer and director of first season has reportedly finished his work on X-Men 97 season 2. However, it should be noted that as of now – it is unknown whether his department from Marvel will result in any changes to the scripts or stories.
Apart from the production status, Marvel Studios’ producer Brad Winderbaum has exclusively revealed that X-Men 97 season 2 and 3 will follow the arcs from Chris Claremont’s definitive Uncanny X-Men – while also tackling up with the plots from Grant Morrison’s New X-Men. It is an exciting hint which is enough to build a new hype among us because see, I personally enjoyed that Uncanny series and that is the only way (and certainly the perfect way) to move forward in the current line-up of our X-Men.
Brad, while talking to ComicBook.com, mentioned : “Just like the original series that was drafting so heavily from Chris Claremont’s work, we’re continuing that. We’re looking at that late ’70s, mid ’70s to early ’90s kind of era.” Winderbaum continued. “We do start to play outside of the Chris Claremont sandbox a little bit into the ’90s, almost getting to Grant Morrison. But it’s definitely just like the OG series, it’s drafting from the stories from the books.” Well, it sounds really good, isn’t it?
Well, things will get more clear with time and I know that Marvel will definitely deliver us a masterpiece. The first season is now streaming on Disney+, so don’t forget to check it out.
