When a movie from this MonsterVerse saga drops, it always blows our minds – that’s what you are going to feel in this honest Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Review. With a perfect casting and an epic storyline, this movie will definitely take over the trending charts in next couple of weeks. As a sequel to it’s previous Godzilla vs Kong movie, this project is delivering everything that we were asking for.
It’s no wonder why I liked it. I mean, when fan favorite characters meets with a storyline fans were asking for – the movie will easily swipe away every other project that will try to compete. That’s what this saga is finally moving forward with. In face, the success of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire was guaranteed and this assurance was landing straight from it’s world premiere where every other critic was praising this unique project in his/her own style.
I would suggest you to remove all your doubts and clear your thoughts, just go and sit in theatre – you’ll definitely thanks me later. That’s what I’ve witnessed today. Now you may be wondering about an honest reaction right? I mean of course nobody wants to get scammed, especially in the time when Hollywood companies are falling – however, things have changed. First we got Five Nights At Freddy’s, then Dune 2, Willy Wonka and now we are getting this Monster-Verse. Well, hold your emotions as I am taking a deep dive into my honest Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Review!
This Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Review Covers Everything For You!
Yes! If I am claiming something this big, then I won’t disappoint you. I mean, I believes in transparency. So what’s my honest reaction after watching Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire? Let’s say, mind-boggling, and I am not even joking. Don’t worry, this is going to be a SPOILER FREE REVIEW!
The movie starts at a perfect pace where we watches a short intro type of stuffs (of course to set up a theme for this masterpiece). I never felt lost during it’s first few events. I would say that the screaming in this part are pretty high – but that’s the fun! The VFX and CGI works are truly phenomenal. Both Kong and Godzilla are having a very realistic texture this time, coupled up with a very smooth motion (way better then the previous two Monster-Verse movies).
The movie is not wasting much time to introduce us with it’s twists. The first 15-minutes were smooth but then you’ll get lost in their world, especially if you are watching it in IMAX. It’s more like a 1-hour-and-55-minute long ride of amusement park where the roller-coaster is running without any breaks. Yeah! That’s what it holds. The factor which is playing a key role in the epic performance of this highly anticipated project is it’s way of storytelling, which is far better then Godzilla vs Kong.
While this is not a new concept (of course), fans who are following this saga (like me) are definitely going to cry with happiness after watching. One thing that I would love to add in my Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire review is the new way of adding human characters in the world of giants. Unlike other similar MonsterVerse movies, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is following a very impressive way of collaborating the world of Monsters with that of humans. You will not get any useless sequence of our human characters which were taking place in other similar projects.
The main focus point of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is on establishing a new bond of trust between our Godzi and Kong. Both of them of course goes for a head-on collision at start- but they quickly realizes who the real threat is. Their new bonding is so sensational that I would love to watch their moments in loop.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Review of Action!
Why these movies are known for? Of course it’s nothing but actions. Giants aka titans fighting like a mad with each other which destroying some of the most popular and populated cities is what excites and motivates us at the same time to watch. So how can I skip myself from mentioning this specific phase of movie in my Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire review?
This project has a lot! And with lot, I truly mean A LOT!! You’ll get a fight or two after every 15-20 minutes. Call it as a way to hide other weak points or the factor which is working like a cherry on top, but these fighting sequences are so phenomenal that you will forget to blink. That’s the real intensity of this drop and maybe that’s what makes it a perfect MonsterVerse movie.
I thinks like my Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Review is missing something – Oh! The humans themselves. Talking about Rebecca Hall’s Dr. Ilene Andrews then she is nailing it. While the movie is meant to bring us a newly found friendship of our Kong and Godzi, Ilene on the other hand shows us her new side of love and motherhood. Her character is looking more sensitive and mature and I feels like Kong himself is playing a very vital role for this type of character development.
Our titan is getting older with each new day, and it can be seen via his grey (and sometimes white) fur. He even tries to show his power but fails due to what – A Toothache? Yes, and it’s honestly a bit hard and uncomfortable to watch our main and beloved character struggling in a very humanly way.
The movie is delivering us many heavy-weighted dialogues where Kong’s emotions, and those of the other apes he seeks out, come across stronger than Ilene’s do. Long story short – this project is a ‘must-watch’ installment which should not get missed at any cost, especially if you are someone who follows or watches the MonsterVerse saga.
I feels like I’ve mentioned everything in my Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire review. Still if you’ve watched the project and now wants to add anything then drop it under the comment section. How much would you rate Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire? For me, it’s a solid 9/10 project.
