Euphoria season 3 will release soon, and the updates have been shared by none other then our “Anyone But You” star Sydney Sweeney. The highly popular HBO Max saga which revolves around a group of high school students in the fictional town of East Highlands, California as they struggles with their growing changes of adolescence.
While the show was renewed by HBO quite a time ago, Euphoria season 3 was not getting a single update since quiet some time, however – now our Sydney Sweeney herself is taking the initiative to promote her upcoming TV show she is widely known for.
Things are getting revealed in a recent MTV interview with Josh Horowitz where our Madame Web star was present to promote her latest movie “Immaculate” – a religious themed horror project where the main protagonist (Sydney Sweeney) is an American nun who embarks on a new journey when she joins a remote convent in the Italian countryside. However, her warm welcome quickly turns into a living nightmare when she discovers her new home harbours a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.
Anyways, when asked about her future schedule or a possible break from Hollywood, Sweeney stated that she would “go into Euphoria“ – hence, indicating towards the beginning of filming of Euphoria season 3. Don’t worry, I am attaching a glimpse from her response, just check it out below:
So now you can sit back and relax because tons of new updates and set photos will start landing within next few weeks for sure. However, she has not spoken a single word on either the script or the release window.
When Could We Expect Euphoria Season 3?
Euphoria remains one of the most successful projects for HBO. Now that it’s been around two years since we’ve last watched our Sweeney and gang in action, things are still looking a bit uncertain. We should also note that there was a gap of three years between the first two seasons which indicates towards the focus of the company – and luckily, they are focusing more on quality over quantity.
Despite it’s immense popularity, the release schedule and development stuffs remains very vague. One big problem which may bring in some extra challenges for the company is the growing ages of the cast. Remember, Euphoria season 3 will again deal with the plotline of our high school students and now that most of our cast members have either touched their mid 20’s or will touch it in next couple of months – showing them younger is going to be a hectic task for sure. However, I trusts on makeup a lot!
Sydney Sweeney’s words are enough to confirm that the filming of Euphoria season 3 will begin in next couple of months, so it also opens the doors for me to predict about it’s release schedule. Since the cast members are also busy in their other projects, the comments made by the creative team are hinting at the late 2025 release date.
The company will also have to deal with the immense growth and demand of the cast members, especially Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), Zendaya (Rue) Jacob Elordi (Nate) and Hunter Schafer (Jules) who has produced some of the major box office hits such as Saltburn, Dune 2, Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes, and Anyone But You. For those who are wondering about the full cast of Euphoria Season 3, I am mentioning the list below:
Euphoria Season 3 Cast | Characters |
---|---|
Zendaya | Ruby “Rue” Bennett |
Maude Apatow | Alexis “Lexi” Howard |
Eric Dane | Cal Jacobs |
Jacob Elordi | Nathaniel “Nate” Jacobs |
Alexa Demie | Madeleine “Maddy” Perez |
Hunter Schafer | Jules Vaughn |
Sydney Sweeney | Cassandra “Cassie” Howard |
Colman Domingo | Ali Muhammed |
While the casting is indeed looking just too good to be true, there are some other concerns which are impacting the release date of Euphoria season 3.
First and foremost, the show is facing the loss of one essential cast member, Angus Cloud, who died last summer from a drug overdose. If you don’t know then recently, Costar Colman Domingo (Ali Muhammed) has officially confirmed that Sam Levinson (the creator, writer, and director of Euphoria) is currently re-writing the whole script. This step is taken in order to identify more important stories and possibilities.
The only update which has been hinted by the team regarding the plot is a “Time Jump“, and while it sounds like a normal word nowadays (especially in the time of MCU and DCEU), it is going to play a very vital part in accommodating the age issue with the delays. All I would say is that the hints and updates which has been shared by our Sydney Sweeney are looking solid and promising – hence, we can trust on their release window of 2025!
