Jenna Ortega is very well known for her iconic performance in Wednesday TV Series that was premiered on Netflix. After getting a lot of love from almost every corner of Earth (not a flat-Earther anyways), the 21-years old actress is now all set to blow our minds the sequel of the iconic Beetlejuice (1988).
Now, with fame comes a lot of responsibilities – and so the problems. One such problem is now emerging with the rise of Artificial Intelligence technology, which is leading in a lot of confusions and in-appropriate material nowadays. Jenna Ortega, despite being from Gen-Z, has struggled from this misconduct that led her to remove her existence entirely from X (previously known as Twitter.)
“I Hate AI,” Says Jenna Ortega After Watching Her Artificially-Created Explicit Images
While talking to ‘The Internet podcast’ for The New York Times, Jenna Ortega has reportedly revealed how she was bombarded by explicit images and videos of herself, that were generated using artificial intelligence on social media. It was this thing that made her to hate AI technique and it’s ways of generating false and morally wrong content.
“I hate AI. Did I like being 14 and making a Twitter account because I was supposed to and seeing dirty edited content of me as a child? No. It’s terrifying. It’s corrupt. It’s wrong,” she mentioned.
It should be noted that Jenna made her account public in order to “build an online image,” or say, the persona for marketing her latest projects, campaigns and fan-events – however, things took the wild route as soon as she was exposed to such an explicit content.
“I used to have that Twitter account and I was told that, ‘Oh, you got to do it, you got to build your image,’” Ortega explained. “I ended up deleting it about two, three years ago because the influx after the show [Wednesday] had come out — these absurd images and photos, and I already was in a confused state that I just deleted it.”
Despite all these ‘mentally-exhaustive’ type of stuffs, the way of disabling the Twitter account was just so interesting and casual that she too can tell it anywhere or anytime. Unlike traditional paths of contacting therapists, going to motivators or handling the rights-related issues, Jenna just decided to woke up and remove everything.
“Why I deleted it, because I couldn’t say anything without seeing something like that. So one day I just woke up, and I thought, Oh, I don’t need this anymore. So I dropped it,” says Jenna.
Now, after removing the existence of her social media (X/Twitter) account, the Beetlejuice 2 star says that we can find her “walking” in her free time. Not only this, our beloved Jenna Ortega also loves to take naps in the garden.
“If you’re ever wondering what I’m doing, if my parents are ever wondering, if I’m not at work, or in some sort of meeting, I am outside doing laps. I am in a random garden, I am laying, taking a nap in a field.”
Starring Jenna Ortega, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will premiere on September 6, 2024. Tickets are live! Also stick around the corner with TVPrism where wee brings you some of the most exciting, exclusive and high-quality, original content related to everything TV and celebrities. Stay Safe, Peace Out!
