Vought Rising, The Boys’ Prequel Series: Release Date & Everything We Knows So Far

Vought Rising is an upcoming spinoff TV series from The Boys universe. The project has been officially announced during the panel of Amazon Prime at San Diego Com Con 2024. It will mark the beginning of third spinoff show from the bloody saga of Homelander.

To be very honest, none of us were expecting any such announcements but things went wild when series star Ackles (Soldier Boy) appeared on stage out of nowhere. Meanwhile Cash (Stormfront) joined the moment via online video call.

What Is Vought Rising?

During the presentation at Hall H, executive producer Eric Kripke took the stage to release an official synopsis on this TV series. As per his statement, “Vought Rising is a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”

As much as I can extract out from this description, it seems like the backstories are going to play a very crucial part during it’s run. Of course you should expect brutal actions because no ‘The Boys’ show can be made without it.

While no release date is announced for Vought Rising, you can expect it to premiere before next year, or atleast before ‘The Boys‘ season 5 – which is officially confirmed to land somewhere in 2026. Meanwhile we are also getting a second season of Gen V, which is currently under very active state of development. No further cast announcement is released yet, but I will be keeping my eyes on them.
