The Electric State Trailer is finally revealed by Netflix and I can say: this movie is matching the vibes of it’s original counterpart of the popular book. While things are looking ‘robotic,’ Millie Bobby Brown is all set to return alongside Chris Pratt.
Directed by The Russo Brothers, The Electric State trailer is now revealing so many surprising twists and some heart-touching moments. Set in the world where robots are now the part of our day to day lives, they’ve been kept as a slave after the rebellion. What’s adding the unique flavor is our main protagonists (both Millie & Chris), and of course — their bots.
Together, the duo is going on a wild ride to find the missing part (her brother) from the life of an orphaned teenager (played by Bobby Brown). Joining them is their cartoon-looking type of bots. The film is also bringing multiple other names like Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Woody Norman, with Giancarlo Esposito and Stanley Tucci.
Meanwhile, the robots are getting their respective voices by Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Hank Azaria, Colman Domingo and Alan Tudyk.
The Electric State Trailer Speaks A Lot!
Just in case if you’ve not read the original book, then let me tell you that The Electric State is not your ordinary tale with couple of giant robots who are threatening the world while attempting to make humans their own slaves. Of course you might get similar sequences at the beginning, but this movie is set to give a special and an important message to the world.
Overall, I am getting a feel that The Electric State is showing how technological advancements are making us feel dependent on them, which is also resulting in the lack of personal connections — even with our loved ones. The teaser is clearly showing glimpses where Millie’s character can be spotted, feeling awful, when others are busy with their devices.
To add an emotional touch, we gets the real meaning of bonding when she decides to go on a heavy mission of finding her long-lost brother with couple of her bots and friends that she meets on her way. Between all these chaotic and emotional rides, we will also get a chance to laugh out loud — I mean, why not? After all, Chris Pratt the Mario Man is here, right?
The Electric State will release on Netflix on March 14, 2025.
