With no surprise, we are getting Presumed Innocent season 2. After this massive success of first season, Apple TV has officially renewed this special project for another installment – and here’s everything that you need to know.
Starring our beloved Mysterio – I mean, Jake Gyllenhaal in lead – the show is based on a crime-theme, coupled up with a lot of thrill, emotions and bonds. If you are following this series then you must know about it’s numbers. The popularity can be identified by the fact that Presumed Innocent season 1 is now the biggest ever TV Series for Apple TV.
Now that we are getting more installment from this saga, let’s take a look on what has been revealed so far about Presumed Innocent Season 2!
In This Article:
Presumed Innocent Season 2 Is Happening
The news on second season has dropped ahead of season’s finale which is set to premiere on your screens on July 24. As per the reports of Apple TV, this limited series is getting extended to feature more new adventures, twists and characters.
It should be noted that Presumed Innocent has already gotten it’s true-book sequel, “Innocent,” that was released back in 2011. At that time, this concept was not much popular but the project still managed to garner a quality response worldwide.
Even after announcing a second season, it is yet to confirm who is going to write the episodes and similar official duties, so you have to keep an eye on them. I will be updating this section as soon as I gets any new information on the same.
Presumed Innocent Season 2 Release Date: When To Expect?
Depending on the fact that the show was originally a limited series, it is pretty obvious that this announcement is coming all of a sudden. Now sudden announcements usually takes time to get absorbed by the team of professionals as most of them were hired for one seaosn.
If you’ll track the previous record of Apple TV then you’ll notice that this company is usually a quick-decision taker, so the development and production should not take much time. The second season has been announced too early, so they might begin the production in next couple of months. If they do so, then you can expect Presumed Innocent Season 2 to release by late 2025 or early 2026.
Presumed Innocent Season 2 Official Plot: What To Expect?
Apple TV has dropped a hint on what you can expect from future episodes. As per their announcement, Presumed Innocent Season 2 will feature some new cases, rather then bringing back same theme from the first part. Fans should expect the unexpected, with some of the most engaging plots.
I’d love to mention the name of David E. Kelley, who is the showrunner of first season. Kelley is known for bringing some of the most unexpected twists in storylines – so if he returns for another installment then it should be enough to confirm so many things on their plotline already.
Presumed Innocent Season 2 Cast: Who Is Returning?
As of now, no casting call has been made. In fact, it should be noted that Jake Gyllenhaal himself is not yet confirmed to return for another season. The streamer has some big shoes to fill, especially after dropping this surprise announcement.
Although the official cast must be announced in next couple of months, you can expect many returning faces from the first season itself. It includes, Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, Peter Sarsgaard, O-T Fagbenle, and Renate Reinsve.
David E. Kelley is serving as a showrunner via his production, alongside with Matthew Tinker of DEKP – who is also executively producing the first season. Depending on the success of the first installment, I can say that both of them are going to return without a second thought. Talking about the director then Anne Sewitsky and Greg Yaitanes should return for more adventures.
You can also expect some new faces depending on their twists and new storylines, so no wonder if they adds a Hollywood giant in their wonderful gang.
Is There A Trailer For Presumed Innocent Season 2?
I mean, I don’t really know why people keeps asking this particular question for every newly announced series or movie. The show is still in it’s very early stages of development, so it’s pretty obvious that it don’t have any such trailers or teasers.
Now be cautious while surfing on platforms like YouTube where tons of concept-trailers (fan-made trailers) are claiming themselves as an official one. They are just a bunch of random clips, edited together to share a unique perspective.
Presumed Innocent season 1 is now streaming on Apple TV+. Stay tuned to TVPrism to catch some of the most exciting, engaging and high-quality content related to everything TV. Till then – stay safe, peace out!
